Kaizer Chiefs Unveil Burundian Signing
Burundi international, Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, has joined Kaizer Chiefs.
On Thursday, 18 August, the Gauteng-based club announced on its website that the 24-year-old would be joining them on a two-year deal with a further one-year option.
“The tall [1.94m] forward began his club football career at Vital’O in Burundi back in 2016, before moving on to Rayong Sport in Rwanda,” they wrote. “He also played club football in countries such as Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia and Kazakhstan.
“His last club was FC Kaisar Kyzylorda, who compete in the Kazakhstan topflight.”
Additionally, Bimenyimana has participated in the CAF Champions League, as well as in the Confederation Cup under the Rayong Sport banner.
Bimenyimana – who is the eighth player to sign with Chiefs during this current transfer window, which ends on 31 August – is set to join the club for three weeks of pre-season training. Once he ties up his personal affairs in Burundi, he will officially become a regular member of the squad.
